Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling…by $5 Family Fun

Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling – $4

The most magically part of summer is when the sun goes down.  Inspired by the fireflies and stars that light up the night sky, become the king pin of your own backyard with a fun game of glow-in-the-dark bowling for under $5.  The best part is…you get to wear your own shoes!!!

Night Bowling Text

Supplies:

  • Ten recycled 16.9oz water bottles, labels removed – $0
  • Tap water – $0
  • Heavy sports ball from around the house (such as a soccer ball) – $0
  • 4 packages of glow stick bracelets (5 count each) from the dollar store – $4

Don’t assemble your bowling pins until just before you’re ready to play because the glow sticks will only hold their glow for a few hours.  To create, crack each glow stick in several places and shake vigorously to illuminate.  Insert two sticks per water bottle and then fill with tap bottle to give it its weight. Replace caps and set up your pins in an upside down pyramid arrangement.
